Medical Disclaimer

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Leia is for general wellness and education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified, licensed healthcare professional.

1. No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Using Leia does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, physical-therapist-client, coach-client, or any other professional healthcare relationship. Leia is not a healthcare provider, medical device, clinic, or licensed practitioner.

2. Not a Diagnosis

Pelvic-floor quizzes, mood and emotional check-ins (including PHQ-9-style questionnaires), cycle and symptom logs, and any other questionnaires offered through Leia are educational self-assessments. They are not diagnostic tools and cannot replace evaluation by a qualified clinician. Results are based entirely on what you enter and have not been clinically validated for your individual circumstances.

3. Always Consult a Professional

Always seek the advice of a qualified, licensed clinician before starting any new exercise program and with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental-health condition. Speak to a clinician immediately if you experience:

  • Pain, bleeding, or new or worsening symptoms during or after any exercise
  • Pelvic pain, pelvic-organ prolapse, urinary or fecal incontinence, or pain with sex
  • Cardiovascular, neurological, or musculoskeletal conditions
  • Mental-health symptoms, including thoughts of self-harm or suicide
  • Any concerns about pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or fertility

4. Assumption of Risk and Responsibility for Technique

Physical activity carries inherent risk of injury. You assume all risk associated with any exercise, breathing practice, pelvic-floor activation, stretch, or other movement you perform in connection with Leia. You are solely responsible for how you perform any activity, including your form, intensity, duration, environment, and decision to start, continue, modify, or stop. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other warning sign.

5. Self-Reported Inputs

Quiz answers, symptom reports, mood logs, cycle entries, and other inputs are self-reported. Leia does not verify or clinically interpret them. Routines and recommendations are generated algorithmically based on the information you provide and are educational only. If your input is incomplete or inaccurate, the suggestions you receive may be unsuitable for you.

6. AI-Generated Content

Some routines, coach text, and voice content are generated by artificial intelligence. AI may produce content that is incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your individual circumstances. AI-generated content is not personalized medical advice.

7. Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Other Sensitive Conditions

Do not start, continue, or modify any pelvic-floor, core, or other exercise program during pregnancy or within the postpartum recovery window without explicit clearance from a qualified clinician (such as your OB-GYN, midwife, or pelvic-floor physical therapist). The same applies if you have a history of pelvic-organ prolapse, recent abdominal or pelvic surgery, diastasis recti, hernia, recent injury, chronic pain, heart or lung conditions, neurological conditions, eating disorder, or any other medical condition that could be affected by exercise or wellness practices.

In a medical or mental-health emergency, call 911.

In the U.S., you can also reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leia and its affiliates disclaim all liability for any injury, illness, condition, or outcome — including any worsening of an existing condition or missed or delayed diagnosis — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation of liability and dispute-resolution terms.
